Polymetal International plc (the “Company”) has won Grand Prix award at the prestigious “Paryz” contest for the outstanding corporate social responsibility projects in the Abai region, Kazakhstan, where the Company’s flagship asset Kyzyl is located.
The annual nationwide contest on social responsibility of business "Paryz" has been held by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan since 2008. In 2023, 492 organisations submitted applications for participation in the award competition, of which 161 participants are large businesses. According to the results of the competition, government commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, identified two Grand Prix winners (in two categories) and 26 laureates.
Kyzyl mine has received the Grand Prix award among large business entities. Kanat Dosmukametov, Chief Operating Officer at Polymetal International plc and CEO at Polymetal Eurasia, received the award from the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
